Judy Fulton, PhD

Research Scientist

Judy directs the R&D Innovation Lab located in the Life Sciences Incubator (REDIzone) on the NEOMED Campus in Rootstown, Ohio.  Here she designs and performs basic science and pre-clinical trials to elucidate the mechanisms of action of various wound care products.  She also develops new methodologies for creating and testing wound diagnostics and new treatment options.  Judy has 23 years of experience in wound healing research and was previously the Director of Wound Research at Akron General Medical Center.  Her past experience includes teaching High School Biology and working as an Analytical Chemist at BF Goodrich.  She is also on the Executive Committee for the Heal Ohio™ Collaborative, a multi-institutional collaborative dedicated to bringing together clinicians, scientists and business folks from across the state to address wound healing issues.  She graduated from North Central College (Naperville, IL) with a BA in Biology and Chemistry and obtained her doctorate in Biochemistry from the University of Akron.
